The mentoring and education of tomorrow’s workforce — our future leaders — is happening today. For both non-college-bound and college-bound members of our learning community, the WLC School-to-Career Program offers students multiple opportunities to:
• understand their career aspirations
• design a high school and post-high-school education plan that supports those aspirations
• experience or observe real-world careers through a variety of paid and unpaid experiences prior to graduation from high school
• reflect on those experiences, seek expert advice, set goals, and take further action |
In addition, STC’s various experiences in the field provide some of the most relevant, engaged learning available to today’s high school student. Complementing classroom, laboratory, and library learning, students are in the trenches, learning through government agencies or businesses functioning to carry out their respective missions, to serve the needs of our communities and our dynamic marketplace.
