WLC

August  15, 2008

We are a mere 11 days from the opening day of school. I am anxious to have students back in the building and start our school year. The WLC staff has been working hard to prepare for the return of our students.   In the next couple of days we will be mailing some very important information to all of our students and their families. Please take the time to look over this information carefully. We want everyone to start the new school year off on a positive note.

Our student-athletes return to campus this Monday to kick off their fall season.  We wish them all the best.  The last of the walls are being painted and the shelves are being stocked with new books and supplies.  We will be ready to go come August 27.

I continue to learn more and more about our school community.  I feel fortunate to be involved with such a caring and thoughtful group.  The recent tragic death of one of WLC’s alumni has proved to be an event that has cemented this belief for me.  I was extremely moved by the compassion and  love displayed by the entire community.   I observed a community at its best in a time when it felt its worst. What a wonderful foundation for the youth of this community. I am honored to work in a community that supports its members with such grace and respect.

Respectfully,

Jon Ingram
